IKEA, Teh Tarik and ...

It’s been several days since Xmas…and the office is pretty much empty except for the committed ones who go through traffic everyday to get to work… just because they want to be at work… and doing work and love doing it too… hahahahah yeah right!

Let me see…updates for the week…spent Saturday with CB and his family who came down to KL to spend the week with CB…took them around town…and exposed them to the typical KL yuppie cuisine…Dome, Secret Recipe etc… heheheh I’m sure it was a bit of a shock to them but hey ho…it is KL! Went down to IKEA on Sunday…had a bit of a research done for my new place in BM …checking out the wide variety of kitchen they have…and honestly speaking…it’s not ALL THAT! The staff seems to be uninterested to make any business anyway… so why do I have to bother right? It is their loss! So I decided to stop by a small place in WM to check out what is available there… 33% cheaper…quality’s at par….and the exact requirements I had for my kitchen! But unfortunately…I just couldn’t tolerate the salesperson’s attitude…are all Malaysians like this these days? It saddens me to see these people who call themselves Malaysians and the way they interact with fellow Malaysians….WHAT THE *toot*?????

Went over to the Curve and Ikano on Monday…had lunch at TGIF with CB and just lazed about taking it easy. Later that evening, CB and I had a fall out. It was not a big deal to me… but I believe it’s a HUGE thing for CB…haven’t spoken to CB since Monday…and I don’t like the silent treatment…AT ALL!

Tuesday was rather gloomy…didn’t feel like doing anything…PV did send a series of SMSes and that definitely cheered me up…and guess what??? PV mentioned the “L Word” to me on Wednesday evening through SMS…FINALLY! Now all I need to do now is to hear the same words from her mouth…it’ll be difficult but hey, nothing comes for free in life…

I managed to get PV to come to Cyberjaya for lunch on Thursday afternoon…SA and IS met her for the first time…I guess she felt a bit awkward having to meet my colleagues from work…it went something like this – “Ooopsss! Oh yeah by the way…PV, we’re having lunch with my colleagues” heheheh. Poor PV…but I think she handled herself well.. My colleagues liked her LOTS. Dropped PV off at the Putrajaya train station before going back to work…and it was probably the longest lunch I’ve had in my entire working life hehehehe

PV and I met up again at KLCC that evening…while waiting for her; I bumped into my cousin JZ who was going off to the gym. JZ was suppose to meet his girlfriend EN there…so I’ve asked him to join me later…PV later had dinner at the Dome…and later joined by JZ. Had a good chat and giggles…Also found out that I’m in PV’s mom’s good books…in fact I’m her favourite! Hahahahah Now this calls for a celebration… another tick box to be ticked… heheheheh Can you imagine me doing the Rickie Lake dance when I found this out? Heheheh Err… what else…oh yeah,

Stopped by Lotus Nikko for a quick Teh Tarik…and some more chats…just had to find an excuse not to take her home just yet… heheheheh and it worked! :-P Finally drove her home about 12.30am…and despite the massive traffic jam on the KL-Seremban highway to Bukit Jalil because of some road works…I was smiling! ;-)

Another wonderful evening indeed…

Gita Bayu...

Was out with JG again last night…picked her up from her place around 8pm…unfortunately she wasn’t ready as she arrived home late after work. So spent the time playing checkers with LJ and his cousins….in the living room while waiting for her…Oh yeah and LJ gave me another letter to read…whoppeee! We drove up to a restaurant in Seri Kembangan near Gita Bayu…and the place looked fantastic! It’s like a little hideaway from the city….accessible from major city roads…and it was AB’s birthday…the guests??? Well… majority of them were ex-BBGSsian…some of them I haven’t met since leaving school. Oh eyah... did see MM whos an ex-schoolmate...wasn't close to him... so didn't actually bothered to say hi.

Food was not bad…the ambiance was fantabulous...the crowd were a mixture of old and new friends of AB…and I’m one of the new ones ;-). JG and AB were school mates…didn’t know each other that well… but enough to invite her to the birthday bash. We had a bite to eat…and just chatted while waiting for EJ, SM and SR. They finally arrived… none of them has changed much….like me, we’ve all grown older gracefully heheheh EJ, SM and SR were so surprised to see how much I’ve changed…perhaps it was the nerd-like look I had back in the school days. And yes....I was rather nerdy then… but what can I say…I was a late bloomer! Hahahahah And believe it or not, EJ and SM remembered the time when I was into those "moonwalks"... urgghhhh Oh well.. at least I'm not the same old skinny shortie boy I used to be...I've become a swan! hahahaha

While holding JG close to me, all of us started catching up with each other’s lives…EJ told me her mom passed away in August (Al-Fatihah) due to Lung Cancer…she’s still happily married with CSP, SM happily married with FZ…and runs her own shop…and SR… well, she’s just started a new relationship with BL. And of course there’s me…JG’s toyboy! Hahahaha We danced and chatted and danced again…Being a dancer, JG danced well…I had a hard time trying to keep up with her heheheh.

We left the party at about 12.30…and drove JG home with EJ tailing from behind so that she can find her way home…after taking JG home, drove back straight to Bukit Jalil with the stereo blasting in the car… had a quick shower and lied on the bed reading LJ’s letter. *sigh*….I was smiling ear to ear…and noticed JG’s SMS soon after….

A wonderful evening indeed…

There'll Be Sad Songs...

I was out watching a movie the other day with JG...and I noticed that particular someone was crying during certain scenes of that movie...I'm sorry JG...it may appear as though I was laughing @ you...but in actual fact, I was hiding my real thoughts... I was listening to this song this morning...and it reminded me of that particular moment when it happened...

There'll Be Sad Songs To Make You Cry - Billy Ocean

Sometimes I wonder by the look in your eyes
When I'm standing beside you
There's a fever burning deep inside
Is there another, in your memory
Do you think of that someone
When you hear that special melody

I always stop and think of you especially
When the words of a love song
Touch the very heart of me

There'll be sad songs to make you cry
Love songs often do
They can touch the heart of someone new
Saying I love you (I love you)

I often wonder how it could be
You loving me, two hearts in perfect harmony
I count the hours until that day
A rhapsody plays, a melody for you and me

Until the moment when you give your love to me
You're the one I care for
The one that I will wait for

There'll be sad songs to make you cry
Love songs often do
They can touch the heart of someone new
Saying I love you

You're my desire
You take me higher
My love is like a river running so deep

I always stop and think of you especially
When the words of a love song
Touch the very heart of me

There'll be sad songs to make you cry
Love songs often do
They can touch the heart of someone new
Saying I love you

There'll be sad songs to make you cry
Love songs often do
They can touch the heart of someone new
Saying I love you

Saying I love you
I love you...

What L.O.V.E. is...

LOVE is not a necessity, but it is life’s greatest gift and luxury.
LOVE is caring, kind, and patient.
LOVE does not expect anything but LOVE in return.
LOVE knows when to put pride to the side,
Because the greatest thing one can be proud of
Is a LOVE that is shared.

LOVE is or should be unconditional.
LOVE is giving and selfless.
LOVE is therefore unselfish.
LOVE is not arrogant, or does not insist in its own way,
It is a celebration of what is right.
True LOVE never ends.

For the unperfected will pass upon
The coming of that which is perfect,
And perfect LOVE never ends.

LOVE is undying devotion (yes that too).
LOVE is not resentful and does not rejoice in wrong, but celebrates the right...

LOVE is the desire to be intimate...physically and emotionally.
LOVE endures all, hopes all, bears all.
LOVE is believing, sharing, dreaming.
LOVE is Honesty.
LOVE is friendship, companionship, and more.

LOVE is completion.
Forgiving.
Understanding and inspiring.

LOVE is the attainment of life's greatest inspiration.
LOVE is supporting, but not overbearing.
LOVE is the free and complete expression of oneself to/for another.
LOVE is being open to an other's expression...

True friends, companion, lover, and mother (or father).

LOVE is faithful and loyal.

LOVE is the one thing in life (true LOVE is), that man (as a whole race) longs for and strives for, and in many cases, more than anything else it can be the hardest to find.
LOVE can be strong, yet so fragile.
There are those out there who have not been lucky enough to find it...some never will. (Not all, but some)
In addition, what one would call true LOVE...LOVE in its best, purest, truest sense is even rarer and harder to find.

Not that no one ever does;
Many probably do.
It is still the hardest thing that mankind strives to obtain.

The dream of finding and marrying for true LOVE exists and
Concludes by everything falling into place.

Oh what a day!

Something magical happened today....the future is somewhat brighter...

Dengarkanlah - Glenn & Amy Mastura

Kasihku hanya kau saja dihatiku
Hanya kau satu yang kurindu
Setiap waktu tak pernah rasa jemu oh..

Saat kau tiba terasa sungguh bahagia
Jalinan indah mesra bersamamu
Seindah cinta yang pertama

Dengarkanlah bicara cintaku
Aku ingin selalu disisimu
Dengarkanlah bicara rinduku
Pinta hati ini yang ingin bersamamu...
Selamanya...

Senyum tawamu terbawa s'lalu dalam mimpi
Hingga tak mampu untuk kulupakan
Dan sering didalam ingatan
Biar dimana berada, biar simpankan saja
Rasa percaya menjadi indah
Akan tiba menyatu akhirnya

The Bride-groom's Pengapit...

Started the weekend on Thursday evening as I had to be back in Seremban for a cousin’s wedding…and I was the “Pengapit”! Before leaving the office after a very long and frustrated day and looking forward to a long break as I am taking Friday and Monday off, SK decided to have a short meeting with me. BUMMER!

We sat down and had a long chat about work and the list of unhappy events which took place through the day… *sigh*. Yep… I HAD AN AWFUL DAY!!! I finally left the office at about 7pm feeling extremely pissed off and felt like screaming to the max! I gave KB a quick call to inform KB that I’ll be slightly late for the meet up. Met up with KB @ KLCC around 8pm…and yes… KB was the shoulder I cried on…told KB everything and I was glad I did coz sharing my woes helped. KB being the long-time friend was there to cheer me up… KB…thanks babe! ;-)

Drove back to Seremban with SAS the next morning…went to Friday Prayers in Seremban, and later quickly changed into our “Majlis Pernikahan” outfits…the theme colour for the day was Cream and Red. The bride-groom’s family members were asked to wear Cream and the bride’s family members were to wear Red. Luckily I had my Baju Melayu done last July for another cousin’s wedding so I didn’t have to me a new one. So there we were at my cousin’s house reporting for duty for the “Majlis Pernikahan” at the bride’s house in Sikamat. My uncle ZM gave us a quick brief before we left the house for Sikamat. My car became the official Bride-Groom’s Wedding Car…an honour to say the least, being a non-luxury car! The Nikah went smoothly, and was done by the bride’s father himself. The “Tok Kadhi” was young and funny! Didn’t realize they had young kadhis these days…I wonder why… hahahahah You wouldn't believe how many synical comments have been thrown at me for still being "single"... but hey, do I care??? Not really! kan? kan? kan?

The next following day was the ceremony on the bride’s side of the family. And this time, the theme colour for the day was Blue and Cream. The bride-groom’s family members were asked to wear Blue and the bride’s family members were to wear Cream. Again, I already had my Baju Melayu done a few years ago…and I was VERY glad that I can still fit into it! Being the “Pengapit” was a breeze I thought…there’s not much to do to be honest…smile, try to look good for the camera, and just pretend you have everything under control…heheheheh Oh yeah, apart from the having to face the heat and sun…I’ve learnt my lesson well in the past...it’s always good to have an undershirt! Hahahahaha Two down…one more to go…

Sunday was the last and final day for the whole wedding ceremony. This time it’s held at my cousin’s house…and the theme colour for the day was Purple and Green. The groom’s family members were asked to wear Purple and the bride-groom’s family members were to wear Green. My outfit for the day had to be newly made as I didn’t have a green Baju Melayu in my collection. The ceremony went smoothly and by 3pm most of the guests have left. Knowing that they have organized a Karaoke System installed for the wedding, I asked the bride-groom to sing us a song. He was happy enough to sing the song “Ku Cari Damai Hati”, an 80’s song by the group called “Gingerbread”. Neither was he a Malaysian Idol participant nor a Bintang RTM material, but he sang his heart out for his wife…J well done MA!

While MA was singing the song, another brilliant idea crossed my mind. I told the Music guy to find me a selection of Joget Songs to be played after MA finishes his song, so that I can ask MA to invite my relatives to do the Joget Lambak. My uncle ZM who was once a Badan Budaya dancer was happy enough to start dancing under the Karaoke Tent along with the bride. Me being me, I pulled my cousin NZ to dance with me too! Hahahahah We had a great time…most definitely. And then I thought I’d do the whole lot… including the singing! I looked through the range of songs they have and chose one of my many favourites…REM’s “Selingkar Kasih”…and as usual, I tried singing it the best that I can…and after the song finished, I heard loud applause from behind me…it was my Uncle ZM…as he shouted out – “Wow…I didn’t know you could sing”… well…I’ll take that as a compliment, thank you!

SAS and I said our goodbyes and left my cousin’s house around 5pm. Drove back to my parent’s house and rested. We made our way back to KL around 7.30pm…and reached my place just before 9pm. It was an eventful weekend most definitely! To be continued...
